Our Favourite Healthy Recipes to Kickstart January Detox

If you're currently floundering under a mountain of Cadbury's Quality Street wrappers and mourning the fact that your favourite jeans no longer fit, then it's time for a big old detox.

Yep, that's right. Now Christmas and the New Year are done are dusted (I know, I know, depressing isn't it?), it's time to put away those chocolates and put down that fizz and get thinking about that body you've always dreamed of.

We're such killjoys, aren't we?!

But for anyone who's thinking of joining me in kickstarting a new, healthier regime (and, believe me, I definitely made the most of being in expandable maternity jeans over Christmas!), then I have a real treat on the blog for you.

Today, I'm bringing you some healthy inspiration in the form of my best recipes of 2013. In fact, it's even better than that - I present to you lots of healthier versions of sweet treats to keep you on track.

These are some of my favourite healthy, 'clean' recipes that won't kill the diet and won't cause your waistline to expand. So if you want to stay healthy but you don't want to live off rabbit food, then get clicking and start baking with these wondrous, tasty treats.

HEALTHY PEANUT BUTTER CUPS

If, like me, you adore peanut butter cups, then you are going to LOVE this healthier version, made from Lucy Bee coconut, honey, peanut butter and dark chocolate. Simply add less honey to make them really, really good for you!

Healthy Peanut Butter Cups

Made with Lucy Bee Coconut and without refined sugars, this 3 Ingredient Chocolate can be as dark or as sweet as you like. I've taken to making mine with only one tbsp of honey for a true, guilt-free indulgence.

CINNAMON NUT CRUNCH GRANOLA

Everyone needs a good, honest granola recipe - and this one for Cinnamon Nut Crunch Granola ticks all the boxes. Filling, sweet and oh-so-moreish, I have it morning, noon and night. But the lack of refined sugars and the health-boosting nuts (not to mention the cinnamon, which balances blood sugar levels) make this one healthy treat.

CHOCOLATE COATED ENERGY BITES

I make these chocolate-coated energy bites again and again and again. No wonder really when they're so darn good for you, yet loaded with all my favourite things - Lucy Bee coconut, peanut butter and antioxidant-fighting cocoa.

MOLTEN CHOCOLATE PROTEIN CAKE

This chocolate protein cake recipe was a complete and utter accident, but I'm so glad I discovered it! Made with protein powder, my favourite Lucy Bee, raw cocoa and nut butter, this is a brilliant treat post-workout. Better still, you can whip it up in the microwave and it's ready in minutes!

SWEET POTATO BROWNIES

Unbelievably, Sweet Potato Brownies are just as yummy as they look. In fact, no one will guess the secret ingredient at all. If you have a sweet tooth, these will fast become your new best friends.

CAULIFLOWER CRUST PIZZA

Who knew that cauliflower was so versatile and could be so darn tasty? Not only does it form the basis of my favourite Egg-Fried 'Rice' (see below), but it also makes an amazing pizza base in this amazing recipe for Cauliflower Crust Pizza.

NO-BAKE HEALTHY CHOCOLATE NUT COOKIES

These no-bake healthy chocolate nut cookies are a firm favourite in our house. Sweet and tasty, they're perfect for when you're hitting the wall come 3pm. Just add as little or as much honey / sweetener as you like to make them more or less healthy!

This Coconut Chia Chocolate Pudding is one of my favourite indulgences. Packed with omega-3 bursting and energy-boosting chia seeds, this is a fantastic pud to serve up when you want something sweet, but without the sugar or calories.
