Yes I know, it's not the done thing to be discussing Christmas in November, people much prefer to only discuss the festive season during December. However……I have found the most amazing stationery that I have to show you today.
It's too cool to wait until December.
Let me introduce you to Paperknots, owned by Lisa Butler, a fantastic graphic designer who I first met when attending a Rock My Wedding party in 2012. Not only is Lisa incredibly talented at prettifying paper but she is also a lovely lady too.
Now, if you follow me on Twitter (@teresa_iam) you will see some of my absurd gift wrapping which I post photos of. In fact, it is a bit of a joke between Samantha and myself. You see, I am crap at it. I take no pride and only a few days ago handed Sam her amateur wrapped up gifts in a Morrison's carrier bag. Yep I am that bad.
It's not that I don't care about my presentation because I do, I really do. But often I leave it until the last minute (seconds before I leave house to meet you) to wrap the gifts and will hunt around my house for some wrapping paper. Sam was very lucky I had spare birthday gift wrap because she could have easily ended up with Peppa Pig paper.
If I was better prepared I would buy paper, gift tags, ribbons and bows well in advance because there is nothing like opening a fancy schmancy wrapped present. For some strange reason though I never think to buy any stationery such as cards or gift wrap online…..until I saw what Paperknots had to offer.
Could you imagine if your Christmas gifts looked like this? Pretty posh eh! |
Firstly let me tell you about the recently launched Eco-Luxe Christmas Card Box Set by Paperknots which is ruddy amazing. For £10 you not only get 8 stylish greeting cards but each card can be re-used and recycled!
Once the cards have been sent to friends and family, each receiver can re-use the card as a luxury Christmas gift tag by simply cutting along the dotted lines and punching out the hole shown on the inside of the card. Second to that, you get to keep the box the cards come in and by trimming the
bottom of the package tag (where indicated) you have a ready-made gift tag to write on and attach to the twine provided, before re-tying and sending on with your choice of gift inside. Clever eh?!
Each box contains 8 greetings cards incorporating 4 typographical and illustrative designs.
These eco cards are professionally printed on a luxury heavyweight 365gsm card stock that is 100% recycled and is also recyclable. The print and board is sourced in the UK to reduce carbon footprint.

This has to be the best gift tag. Ever. |
I am in love with Paperknot's A VERY BERRY CHRISTMAS collection. I simply adore the bright and cheerful designs; I would be chuffed to bits to receive such a cool Christmas card.
The berry-licious designs are also continued with these gorgeous gift tags. I really don't have an excuse for my poor gift wrapping when there's such splendid Christmas stationery like this to use. The reverse of the tags are also printed to match and come complete with a length of red and white twine.
Pack of eight gift tags - £4 |
After seeing such luxurious gift wrapping and super duper Christmas cards I am definitely going to buy some paper pretty and support a small British business instead of grabbing a few rolls of paper and a box of cards the next time I'm in Marks and Spencer.
What do you think?
