Our Favourite Winter Hats

Ever since I was younger and I stole my Grandpa's plaid grandad hat, I've loved rocking awesome headwear.

From beanies to fedoras, from pork pies to trilbies, I have a huge array of hats stacked in my wardrobe. I love how they add a quirky, unusual touch - a bit of character - to even the dullest of ensembles. And, being a total and utter wimp, I love that they keep my ears warm and snuggly too.

Each and every single Autumn, a new hat (or five) is one of the first things I rush out to buy. Just check me out in my beloved pork pie hat - I barely leave the house without it!

Anyway, I've scoured the internet to bring you my favourite headwear highs for this season. Are you a beanie lover, or do you love retro-style fedoras? I also love the statement hats we have to really help you hand out from the crowd this season.

Take your pick and get shopping! This winter, your ears are going to be toasty.

BAG A BEANIE

Beanies make brilliant cover-ups, especially on bad hair days (of which my curly locks mean I have plenty). They add a slouchy touch of insouciant cool to any winter outfit, making them the perfect all-rounder. I have my heart set on these neon pom pom numbers from Chinti and Parker - now to add them to the birthday list...

STATEMENT HATS

For those who are bold as well as beautiful, the shops are awash with statement hats this season. From slogan prints to bejewelled beanies, which one will you be rocking?

FEDORAS AND PORK PIES

My favourite, favourite hats are fedoras and pork pies. I've long gotten over feeling slightly silly and, instead, I love the retro glamour they add to an outfit. I have this grey pork pie hat from Topshop and get complimented on it ALWAYS. They also happen to make great hair rain shields, too...

PRETTY AS A PASTEL

You know that the high street is awash with the blues and dusky pinks this season, so why not pop a pastel on your head too? These beauties will lift your classic black winter coat a treat. I have the bargain ASOS pink beanie (£7, folks, £7!) and I adore it with my camel coat.

COSY UP

When it comes down to it, we all want to snuggle up into something fluffy and soft come winter. Wrap up against the elements in cosy cashmeres and faux furs, or embrace your inner schoolchild with lovely ear muffs.
