Use Weleda Skin Food As A Face Mask

We have been using Weleda Skin Food for years - we swear that it's THE best moisturiser to hydrate those dry patches of skin which nothing else will even begin to touch. Those dry elbows and knees are a thing of the past thanks to this wonderful beauty product.

Happily, last week, we discovered our favourite go-to moisturiser can be used for other beauty needs - and we quickly put it to the test.

Face Mask

We were curious to see how this would work, and we were amazed. After cleansing thoroughly you simply place a hot facecloth on your face for one minute to open up your pores. You then apply the skin food to your face in a thin layer, then lie back, relax and enjoy some time out for ten minutes. You can do this having a soak in the bath or simply have a quick cat nap on your bed.

Once your ten minutes are over, you then use the hot facecloth to remove any excess skin food. That's it - and now you have a face which feels incredible. We have used many face masks and some have caused our skin to react, but this Weleda magic in a tube was 100% perfect.

Dewy Look

If you are anything like us, we are obsessed with retaining some of our youthful looks by creating a dewy look through skincare and make-up. Well, we were chuffed to bits to discover that Weleda skin food can also be used for just this. Simply dot along your cheekbones whilst applying your makeup for an instant glow. We can't believe that, for years, we used skin food for our dry skin, without even realising all these other miracle powers.

Primer

Want a fab base for your make-up? Then try skin food. It does the job brilliantly. We were bowled over how this was as good as - if not better - than any primer we had used before. How many primers have you used which retain the glow after you have applied your foundation and only cost £9.99?
