Reviewed: V12 Protein Shots

I don't know about you, but sometimes I find it hard to eat enough and get enough protein when I'm on the go. Between my freelancing and my two boys, I'm always here, there and everywhere - and all too often this means that I'll go hours between meals.

When V12 Protein Shots offered to send me some of their products to try, I leapt at the chance. Consumed by Olympians, as well as professional footballers and rugby players, I'd heard lots of great things, and I was keen to learn more.

V12 Protein Shots

So, what are V12 shots, and why are they so great? Well, each bottle comes in a small, handbag-sized (or pocket, if you're a guy!) bottle, making them the perfect top-up to carry about  on busy, manic days.

Amazingly, given that each shot is just 60ml, it also packs a pretty hefty punch, with every single one delivering 24g of protein (that's the same amount as a turkey breast, FYI). They also work to keep joints strong and flexible (as well as preventing age-related bone loss) and since they're dairy-free, they can be enjoyed by anyone.

The shots also taste great (like apple) and are incredibly sweet considering they have zero sugars (and also zero carbs too). All in all, I'm seriously impressed - if you're looking for a new protein top-up on the go, or want something different on the go, these are the ones for you!

The protein shots cost £32 for 16 and can be bought here or on Ocado.
