The ULTIMATE Stationery Porn

Come summer, I always seem to get nostalgic.

I don't know whether it's the smell of BBQs mingling with freshly-cut grass, or the feel of the hot sun beating down on my shoulders. Perhaps it's the stickiness of suncream, the distant hum of lawn mowers, or the tangible happiness of Brits when they get blessed with an unexpected day of sunshine.

But whatever it is, summer - and, with it, the feel of the buzz from the end of the school year - always takes me back to childhood, setting me off on an annual quest for unique stationery. No, change that - stationery porn.

Every year, I'd trip around the shops in my flip-flops, lusting after the colourful pencil cases and scented gel pens. I'd admire the silly, impractical pencils with their fluffy pom pom ends, then stare in awe at the brilliant rainbow of Sharpie's markers.

Anyway, this year is no different, only I thought I would share my latest hunt with you, our lovely readers.

As well as my usual stationery faves Paperchase, Liberty and Papermash, I found some lovely up-and-coming brands, including these wonderfully quirky pieces from  eco-friendly online boutique The Green Gables. Addicts like myself can even subscribe to a monthly stationery set - how cool is that?

If you're after elegant stationery and notecards, then look no further than Studio Sarah for some fabulous pieces. I love the laser-cut notecards and simple, chic notebooks. Perfect for making a style statement, even in the boardroom.

I know that, like me, there are dozens of other stationery addicts like there, so to encourage a splurge (we all need a summer desk tidy-up, right?!) I rounded up some other favourites from online.

What stationery will you be buying?

BITS AND BOBS

I never knew that I needed random tape before, but now I do. And lots of it...polka dot, or printed? That is the question.
