I love wedding dresses with long sleeves! It is about time the strapless gowns were given the push and us ladies covered up our arms. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with flashing your bingo wings (I wore a strapless wedding gown myself two years ago) but I do feel the sleeved wedding gown is a little more sophisticated and definitely more suitable for the colder temperatures.
We do live in the UK and one thing we cannot guarantee is the sunshine during the summer, so we may as well cut our losses and buy a wedding dress which will keep us cosy and comfortable instead of exposing more of our flesh to the British weather.
There are also other advantages to wearing a full sleeve - you haven't got to buy a bracelet or cuff because your wrists are going to be covered. Nor do you need to buy a little shrug or pashmina to keep the chill off your shoulders.
I know the long sleeved wedding dress was shunned after we saw the many pouffy shoulders on brides during the 1980s and early 1990s. But honestly I do believe the long-sleeved gowns are now making a comeback and thankfully there isn't a shoulder pad in sight. Here's a few different styles to give you an idea.
Firstly, this elegant lace gown by J Crew is absolutely stunning. Such a simple design and it oozes glamour from every single inch of it.
We love all of these three shorter dresses, two of these are designer and one is from the high street. Which one do you like the most? Our favourite is the sassy frock from Monsoon.

These two designer wedding gowns are breath-taking. I am sure their price tags will take your breath away too (cost several thousands of pounds), but nevertheless we are more than happy to drool whilst staring at them.
The dress on the right is by far our favourite, it has a gorgeous contrasting sash and the much-loved pockets. Definitely a stylish number for the more modern fashionista who's not one for wearing pretty dainty dresses.
