Go To Bed with ABAHNA

Anyone else struggle with getting to sleep? I used to be able to fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow, I often joked I could sleep on a washing line. For the last three years though this has not been the case. And it would seem I am not the only one.

I have been known to stay awake all night and eventually feel tired the following morning at 7 o'clock. This does not bode well when I have a family to look after and a full day ahead of me. Nevertheless this is how my bedtime tends to pan out. I cannot remember the last time I went to bed before midnight and to fall asleep before 1am is seldom.

I am sure if I went to see my GP I would be handed some sleeping tablets but I really do not want to go down that route. I have made some lifestyle changes though. Firstly, I packed up smoking cigarettes 15 months ago, I only drink decaffeinated coffee and tea and I have tried numerous ways of unwinding at bedtime. I have even tried listening to a recording of meditating myself to sleep and that actually worked until I woke up two hours later.

So, as you can see, I have been banging my weary sleepless head against the infamous brick wall for quite some time. Thankfully, I have now discovered a hero. Yep, Abahna is my hero.

Abahna have launched their very own sleep collection which includes a gorgeous silk pillow (note to my husband Steve: this would make a lovely Christmas present as it will minimise face creases therefore you will not be waking up next to me and my Gordon Ramsay-esque face). There are also aromatherapy candles, bath salts and oils all of which are fragranced with 100% essential oils. The Aromatherapy Sleep Collection is a super relaxing blend of lavender, neroli and clary sage to help you drift off to sleep after a soothing bath.

And drift off to sleep you will. I have tested the Sleep Aromatherapy bath salts (£12) as well as the luxurious bath oil (£15) and they are heavenly!

After three years of insomnia I am feeling incredibly triumphant. I am giving Abahna 10 out of 10 for their new sleep collection and am adding them to my personal hero list.  I have never felt so refreshed and can now start the day feeling fully charged.

Last March Sam wrote about her adoration for Abahna (read here) and their magnificent range of perfumes. I am yet to try them but if they are anything on a par with their new sleep collection then they will be heavenly.

Abahna is a fantastic British brand who have got fans in very high places - Elle, Sunday Times, Marie Claire and of course I Am Into This. Do go and take a look at their website where you will be very impressed and will certainly find a fair few suitable Christmas presents for your family and friends.

One very wide-eyed and bushy tailed love
